From page three to first call: how a Phoenix family law firm doubled its consultations

A two-attorney family law firm with a strong courtroom record was losing the client before the first phone call, because the firm's site read like a brochure from another decade.

The challenge

Someone searching for a divorce attorney in Phoenix is stressed, private, and usually on a phone at night. They open three or four sites, decide who feels competent and safe, and book with the first one that makes booking easy. The firm's old site had a stock gavel photo, a wall of practice areas, and a contact form that asked for a case summary before it asked for a name.

The firm sat on page three for the searches that matter. The attorneys knew their results were better than most of the firms above them. Nobody searching could tell.

The solution

We rebuilt the site around the one decision a prospective client is making: can I trust these people with my kids and my house? Attorney bios lead with plain answers, not credentials. Each practice area explains what happens first, what to bring, and what a consultation looks like.

Every page targets the way people in Maricopa County actually search, from divorce and custody to spousal support and modifications. A consultation request sits in the header and after every section, and it asks for three things, not thirty.

What we did

  1. 1

    Answer the scary questions first

Custody, timelines, what a first meeting covers. The pages say it plainly, so the visitor arrives at the consultation already calmer and already sold.

  2. 2

Practice-area pages built for local search

One clean page per matter type with city-and-service keywords, attorney schema, and a Google Business Profile matched to the site.

  3. 3

    Book in three fields

Name, phone, and how to reach you. No case essay. The form works one-handed on a phone and confirms what happens next.

The result

Within six months the firm moved from page three to the top three for its core divorce and custody searches in Phoenix. Consultation bookings ran at 2.4 times the previous pace, and the intake team reports callers who already know which attorney they want.

Cancelled our old web guy after one call with these folks. Wish we'd found them two years ago.
